I'm really enjoying producing these digital photos for the 50/50 Show, but now that today's is posted I'm feeling the need to do some painting &/or work on my sculptures which I have pretty much abandoned.

The rest of the weekend

It's been a crazy few days what with the doggie infirmary at my house and the annual town-wide yard sale that we participated in yesterday. The sale was very successful but introducing Thekla to the foster dog on Saturday less so. Both are wearing Elizabethan collars following surgery. She tolerated his being in her face for just so long, then...

He got the message and they have reached detente.

Thekla having surgery today

Asleep on the Studio Chair

5/17 /10

Wednesday I took Thekla up to UC Davis to have the cause of her occasional lameness diagnosed. She's a very active pup and loves to run and be chased by other dogs, but sometimes she would be left with a limp. Turns out she has a congenital malformation of her right front elbow which needs to be surgically corrected. So today is the day. I pick her up tomorrow and thus begins a six week period of restricted activity - the hardest part of this ordeal for both of us.
